डॉ.राहत इंदौरी (उर्दू शायर, गीतकार)

राहत का जन्म इंदौर में 1 जनवरी 1950 में कपड़ा मिल के कर्मचारी रफ्तुल्लाह कुरैशी और मकबूल उन्निसा बेगम के यहाँ हुआ। वे उन दोनों की चौथी संतान थे। उनकी प्रारंभिक शिक्षा नूतन स्कूल इंदौर में हुई। उन्होंने इस्लामिया करीमिया कॉलेज इंदौर से 1973 में अपनी स्नातक की पढ़ाई पूरी की और 1975 में बरकतउल्लाह विश्वविद्यालय, भोपाल से उर्दू साहित्य में एमए किया। तत्पश्चात 1985 में मध्य प्रदेश के भोज मुक्त विश्वविद्यालय से उर्दू साहित्य में पीएचडी की उपाधि प्राप्त की।

राहत की दो बड़ी बहनें थीं जिनके नाम तहज़ीब और तक़रीब था,एक बड़े भाई अकील और फिर एक छोटे भाई आदिल थे। परिवार की आर्थिक स्थिति बहुत अच्छी नहीं थी और राहत को शुरुआती दिनों में काफी मुश्किलों का सामना करना पड़ा था। उन्होंने अपने ही शहर में एक साइन-चित्रकार के रूप में 10 साल से भी कम उम्र में काम करना शुरू कर दिया था। चित्रकारी उनकी रुचि के क्षेत्रों में से एक थी और बहुत जल्द ही बहुत नाम अर्जित किया था।कविता क्षेत्र में आने से पहले, वह एक चित्रकार बनना चाहते थे और जिसके लिए उन्होंने व्यावसायिक स्तर पर पेंटिंग करना भी शुरू कर दिया था इस दौरान वह बॉलीवुड फिल्म के पोस्टर और बैनर को चित्रित करते थे यही नहीं, वह   पुस्तकों के कवर भी डिजाइन करते थे। वह कुछ ही समय में इंदौर के व्यस्ततम साइनबोर्ड चित्रकार बन गए। क्योंकि उनकी प्रतिभा, असाधारण डिज़ाइन कौशल, शानदार रंग भावना और कल्पना से भरपुर थी और इसलिए वह प्रसिद्ध भी हुए। यह भी एक दौर था कि ग्राहकों को राहत द्वारा चित्रित बोर्डों को पाने के लिए महीनों का इंतजार करना भी स्वीकार था। यहाँ की दुकानों के लिए किया गया पेंट कई साइनबोर्ड्स पर इंदौर में आज भी देखा जा सकता है।

डॉ.राहत इंदोरीने लगातार 40 से 45 साल से अधिक  मुशायरो  और कवी सम्मेलन  में प्रदर्शन करते रहे कविता पढ़ने के लिए उन्होंने व्यापक रूप से अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर यात्राए की है उन्होंने भारत के लगभग सभी जिलों में कवि संप्रदायों में भाग लिया है और कई बार अमरीका, ब्रिटेन, कनाडा, सिंगापुर, मॉरीशस, केएसए, कुवैत, बहरीन, ओमान, पाकिस्तान, बांग्लादेश, नेपाल आदि से भी यात्रा की है।राहत इंदौरी ने लगभर दो दर्जन फ़िल्मों में गीत लिखे। 

उन्हें देवी अहिल्या विश्वविद्यालय, इंदौर में पढ़ाने के लिए एक प्रस्ताव मिला था। चूंकि शिक्षण के लिए पीएच.डी. की डिग्री अनिवार्य थी, इसलिए उन्होंने उर्दू साहित्य में पीएच.डी. की और उर्दू साहित्य के प्रोफेसर के रूप में वहां अध्यापन करना शुरू कर दिया। उन्होंने वहां 16 वर्षों तक शिक्षण किया। इसके बाद उनके मार्गदर्शन में कई छात्रों ने पीएचडी की।वह एक सरल और स्पष्ट भाषा में कविता लिखते थे। वह अपनी शायरी की नज़्मों को एक खास शैली में प्रस्तुत करते थे।

10 अगस्त 2020 को उन्हें कोरोनावायरस के लिए सकारात्मक पाया गया और उन्हें मध्य प्रदेश के इंदौर के अरबिंदो अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया था। जहां 11 अगस्त 2020 को उनका निधन हो गया क्योंकि उनके निधन से पहले उन्हें पूर्णहृदरोध का सामना करना पड़ा था।

Dr. Rahat Indouri (Urdu poet, lyricist)

Rahat was born on 1 January 1950 in Indore to Raftullah Qureshi, an employee of a textile mill, and Maqbool Unisa Begum. He was the fourth child of both of them. He got his early education at Nutan School Indore. He completed his graduation in 1973 from Islamia Karimiya College Indore and did his MA in Urdu Literature in 1975 from Barkatullah University, Bhopal. Later in 1985, he received his PhD in Urdu literature from Bhoj Open University, Madhya Pradesh. Rahat had two elder sisters named Tehzeeb and Takib, an elder brother Akeel and then a younger brother Adil. The financial condition of the family was not very good and Rahat had to face many difficulties in the initial days. He started working as a sign-painter in his own city at less than 10 years of age. Painting was one of his areas of interest and very soon gained a name. Before joining the poetry field, he wanted to become a painter and for which he also started painting professionally. During this time he used to portray posters and banners of Bollywood film. Not only this, he also designed covers of books. He became Indore's busiest signboard painter in no time. Because of his talent, exceptional design skills, brilliant color sense and imagination, he became famous as well. It was also a time that customers were also willing to wait months to get the boards painted by relief. Paint done for shops here can be seen on many signboards even today in Indore. Dr. Rahat Indorine performed at Mushayro and Kavi Sammelan for more than 40 to 45 consecutive years He has traveled extensively internationally to read poetry. He has participated in Kavi sects in almost all the districts of India and several times in USA, UK, Canada, Singapore, Mauritius, KSA, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman. , Has also traveled from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal etc. Rahat Indouri wrote lyrics in about two dozen films. He received a proposal to teach at Devi Ahilya University, Indore. Since Ph.D. for teaching Degree was compulsory, so he earned a Ph.D. in Urdu literature. And began teaching there as a professor of Urdu literature. He studied there for 16 years. After this, many students did PhD under his guidance. He used to write poetry in a simple and clear language. He used to present his poetry in a special style.

On 10 August 2020, he was found positive for coronavirus and was admitted to the Aurobindo Hospital in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Where he died on 11 August 2020 as he had to face complete heart attack before his death.
